John 8:32 Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free.
Jesus Christ is Truth:
Revelation 19:11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
God wants that we serve him with all our heart, all our soul and all our strength. He sees through.
Religion is a game, a layer, a covering. Something visible, the outside of the cup.
Jesus rebuked the Pharisees and said they tried to make the outside shine, but the inside of the cup was full of filth and abominations: bad fruits of their heart.
Clean the inside first, the you will naturally clean the outside.
The whole concept of religion is opposed to the true service of God, which starts by the circumcision of the heart, the rest comes like a glove.
Religion tries to hide filth with songs, vain words, beautiful clothes and appearances. Gold, the world, 666.
The Hebrews were fascinated by the Temple of Jerusalem: Jesus promised its destruction.
Paul talks in negative words of his former religion:
Acts 26:5 Which knew me from the beginning, if they would testify, that after the most straitest sect of our religion I lived a Pharisee.
James describes in his letter the one true "religion" of God, which is to visit orphans and widows.
Commandments of God are short, simple and accessible by all.
Religion consists on adding new rules. Jesus said to the Pharisees that they were adding useless burdens. And they would not move those burdens themselves.
Useless and counter productive.
Religion brings forth bigotry, bigotry brings forth pride.
What does not glorify God does glorify satan.
Let's serve God with all our heart, soul and strength: thoughts, words, acts.
